 What's New for the 2025 Hyundai Kona?

The engaging Hyundai Kona introduced its second generation in 2024 with exciting improvements throughout. In 2025, Hyundai will continue to improve the Kona with updates to its trim lineup and changes to feature availability. Specifically, this year, the N Line S trim and the SEL Convenience are new trim levels. The trim lineup from the base level up includes the SE, SEL, SEL Convenience, N Line S, N Line, and Limited.

The SE, SEL, and SEL Convenience trim levels continue to have a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter gas engine that produces 147 horsepower. The powertrain includes front-wheel drive and a continuously variable transmission. The N Line S, N Line, and Limited are outfitted with a four-cylinder, turbo 1.6-liter engine that delivers 190 horsepower. It has front-wheel drive and an eight-speed auto transmission. All-wheel drive is available as an upgrade for all trim levels.

The Kona's new look, introduced in the 2024 model year, continues unchanged in 2025. It has an edgy look with crisp, defined lines running across the sides. Sharp, thick molding rounds over the fenders and across the lower door panels. The thick wheel spokes have a pinwheel design. The front wheel molding extends to the nose and outlines the triangular LED headlights. The rectangular grille is also flanked by metallic, triangular elements. A modern LED bar wraps around the front edge of the hood.

The Kona is well-appointed to keep drivers and passengers safe, comfortable, and connected on the road. Its standard or available features include four USB ports, a 12.3-inch infotainment system screen, a driver attention warning, wireless smartphone integration, a driver attention warning, forward collision warning, a blind-spot warning, lane departure mitigation, heated front seats, a dual-zone auto climate control system, wireless phone charging, digital key, an integrated navigation system, a digital instrument panel, intersection collision mitigation, a Bose sound system with eight speakers, adaptive cruise control, a surround-view camera, parking sensors and many additional features.
