Performance
The first two of the Kona's four trim levels are available with a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder, 147-horsepower engine. This system includes front-wheel drive and a continuously variable automatic transmission. The higher Kona trim levels are equipped with a 197-horsepower, turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. This system features front-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Each trim level is available with all-wheel drive as an upgrade.
The Tucson has five trim levels, and all are outfitted with the same 2.5-liter, four-cylinder gas engine. This is a 187-horsepower system mated with an eight-speed automatic transmission and available with front-wheel or all-wheel drive. The Tucson Hybrid is offered as a separate model. With this model, your crossover will draw 231 horsepower from a turbocharged four-cylinder engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Appearance
The 2026 Kona has standout styling with a sleek, aerodynamic profile and dramatically angled side contouring. The fenders and lower door panels have edgy, dark molding, and they pair with pinwheel-style wheels. At the front, the triangular headlights flank the wide grille. The grille is topped by a slender LED bar.
The slightly larger Tucson is distinguished by crisp, angled contouring, as well as linear accent lines and molded fenders. The dark molding lining the fenders is subtly squared off. At the front, the Tucson SUV's staggered mesh pattern is perfectly integrated with the stacked LED headlight bars.

The 2026 Kona and the 2026 Tucson share several features in common. Some of these features include a Bose sound system, a surround-view camera, a hands-free liftgate, heated front seats, a navigation system, a heated steering wheel, parking sensors, wireless smartphone app connectivity, ambient cabin lighting, a digital instrument panel, USB-C ports, a forward collision avoidance system, and more.
