2026 Hyundai Santa Fe vs 2026 Hyundai Palisade
Serving Chicago, IL
In 2026, Hyundai offers two SUVs with a three-row cabin: the Santa Fe and the larger Palisade. This year's Santa Fe introduces several mid-generation updates. The Palisade brings its second generation online in 2026 with bumper-to-bumper improvements. What can you expect from these popular SUVs?
Performance
The Santa Fe is available with either a gas engine or a hybrid powertrain. The gas engine is a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder unit that generates 277 horsepower. The 1.6-liter, four-cylinder turbo engine, paired with an electric motor, produces 231 horsepower.
The Palisade is also available with gas and hybrid powertrains. The entry-level engine is a 3.5-liter, V6, gas powertrain that offers 287 horsepower. A turbo 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine with an electric motor delivers 329 horsepower.
Appearance
While the Santa Fe and the Palisade are close siblings in the 2026 lineup, they are easy to differentiate on the road. The Santa Fe has a boxy design with a long, flat roof and flared, squared-off fenders. The rectangular design is carried through to the LED headlights and bumper. The headlights are connected via a slender LED bar that runs above the grille.
The Palisade, on the other hand, has a flat yet slanted roof with a raked rear and rounded fenders. The tall nose is curved, and it is styled with a wide grille that features a linear mesh pattern. The headlights are comprised of a stack of LED bars that take design cues from the grille.
Features
The 2026 Santa Fe and the 2026 Palisade are outfitted with many of the same features. Some of these include quilted leather seats, highway driving assistance, power-folding and power-adjusting captain's chairs in the second row, a head-up display, parking sensors, a digital instrument display screen, a blind-spot camera, a surround-view camera, a panoramic sunroof, a navigation system, a household-style power outlet, dual wireless charging pads, a curved panoramic display screen, heated seats, and others. The Palisade is also available with front and rear dash cams, remote smart parking assistance, a digital rearview mirror, a UV-C sterilization bin, relaxation mode for the first and second rows, and more.
